We are pleased to share a recent court decision issued by the Tribunale di Ancona, recognising Italian citizenship jure sanguinis in favour of the applicant.
The Court confirmed the applicant’s status as an Italian citizen and ordered the Ministry of the Interior to proceed with the necessary civil registrations.
This represents an important development for descendants of Italian citizens who are facing increasing administrative complexity and extremely long waiting times through consular procedures.
The judicial proceedings in Italy were conducted by Avv. Laura Cerreto, who represented the applicant before the Italian Court and successfully obtained recognition of citizenship through litigation.
At Baraka Legal Services, we work alongside qualified legal professionals in Italy by supporting clients with the essential preparation and organisation of their documentation, ensuring that cases are professionally structured before being presented in court.
Are you based in the UK and have an Italian Nonno or Nonna?
You may be eligible for Italian citizenship by descent, and in many cases judicial recognition in Italy can offer an alternative legal pathway that avoids the extremely long waiting times often experienced through consular channels.
